Whether you want to crash off 10 pounds fast or jump start big results that last, you've got to try this recipe !
There's something wonderful cooking in the kitchen of quick-slim expert Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D.: a soup diet so powerful "it takes fast weight loss to a whole new level," smiles the author of Fat Flush for Life. Inspired by a Penn State study that found even ordinary soup can help dieters drop about 200% more weight, Gittleman loaded her recipe with truly extraordinary ingredients. (Think metabolism-boosting protein, fat-melting veggies, anti-bloat spices.) She then incorporated it into her famous fat-flushing regimen- and let a team of Woman's World readers be the very first to put it to the test. Results? Alabama reader Nancy Mathews, 50, shed a whopping 10 pounds in just three days. Others dropped up to six, seven, even 11 pounds in the course of a single week. Says Nancy: "The difference this soup makes is amazing!"
It's this easy!
Gittleman's plan, designed to be used for a week or so at a time, will crash off pounds fast and jumpstart long-term results. What exactly is involved? Well, you'll enjoy protein-rich breakfasts-a factor that University of Kansas researchers say will set you up for less hunger all day long. On top of that, you'll snack on fruits and vegetables rich in slimming antioxidants. But that's just the beginning. Soup will be your main fuel-and your main fat burner. As in the Penn State study, Gittleman calls for two bowlfuls daily. The twist is that her large servings are very well fortified with ingredients found to help "flush" fat from our systems. "The soup essentially flips a switch in your body," says Gittleman, "telling it to let go of extra pounds that are weighing you down!"
Why This Soup Diet Beats All Others
— It emulsifies fat!
Tomatoes, the base of the Fat Flush Soup, are rich in vitamin C and other natural acids that help your liver break down fat faster and more easily. "One of the best-kept secrets of weight loss is keeping the liver-the key organ for fat metabolism-in tip-top shape," reveals Gittleman. "Unclog' your liver, and it will automatically eliminate more fat!" There's more: Protein in the soup triggers the release of a hormone called glucagon, which, explains Gittleman, "mobilizes stored fat so it can be burned for energy!"
— It kicks up metabolism!
"So many other diet soups skimp on protein, which is just crazy. Protein increases metabolism by about 25%in the hours after you eat it," notes Gittleman. To rev things even more, Fat Flush Soup comes spiked with hot pepper-a spice that, on its own, has been shown to raise post-meal metabolism by another 20%!
— It beats bloat and toxins!
Our bodies retain "emergency" supplies of fluid when there's not enough water going into our systems. The opposite is also true. Build your menus around water-rich soup and other water-rich options (fruit, vegetables, yogurt, tea and plain water), and "your body can let go of up to five pounds of bloat in a single day," promises Gittleman. This approach also helps flush away toxins and impurities that can become trapped in cells, interfering with metabolism and fat-burning systems.
Slash Your Cholesterol
Australian researchers discovered that eating just 2 oz. of cooked tomatoes daily- the amount found in every serving of Gittleman's Fat Flush Soup- can help reduce bad cholesterol by about 10%! Credit goes to the antioxidant lycopene, which has been found to also guard against heart disease.
"If you feel like you never lose much weight on a diet, try this plan," says Gittleman. "It works so well, you'll realize you can lose weight. Fat Flush Soup won't fail you!"
Kerrie lost 11 Ibs!
"After I bombed on the Special K diet and SlimFast, I really didn't think a soup diet would work for me either," admits New Hampshire mom Kerrie Nickerson, 36. "But I lost 11 pounds in one week!" Making these results even better: ''The soup is very yummy. It's a perfect meal when the weather is cool. It's a win-win!"
Kerrie's best tip: Make it for your whole family! "It really is that good!"
This Soup's Slimming Ingredients
Here's how Fat Flush Soup helps you get skinny:
Lean ground beef, turkey or chicken: Protein not only boosts post-meal metabolism by 25% and stimulates production of fat-burning hormones, it has also been shown to dramatically reduce appetite!
Onions:Onions are loaded with the mineral chromium, which helps improve levels of fat-storage hormones.
Cayenne:Studies have shown that the antioxidants that give cayenne its heat can boost metabolism up to 20% for up to 30 minutes!
Parsley and cilantro: "These herbs help relieve bloating by flushing toxins out of the body," says Gittleman. They're also loaded with antioxidants, a type of nutrient that researchers have linked to low body fat.
Tomatoes:Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C; Arizona State University test also show they help burn fat 25% faster!
