The Original Fat Flush Water: Cran-Water

The Original Fat Flush Water: Cran-WaterThe real Fat Flush Water that started it all!

Bust bloat and banish cellulite by sipping our signature cran-water combo as part of your daily hydration.

1 oz 100% unsweetened cranberry juice
7 oz water

Mix the juice and water.
*Tip: Make larger batches and keep in a pitcher for easy access, all day!

Your liver is the body’s purifier, but a liver clogged with poisons or excess fats can’t perform its fat-burning duties. Unsweetened cranberry juice will help cleanse so it can do its job! This refreshingly tart beverage may be the single most important step you ever take to reach your weight loss goals and improve your health.

Cranberry juice is packed with flavonoids, enzymes, and organic acids (such as malic acid, citric acid, and quinic acid) which have an emulsifying effect on stubborn fat deposits in the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system acts as the body’s “garbage collector” and transports all kinds of waste products not processed by the liver. This explains why our cran-water has been effective against cellulite and is the original Fat Flush water!

how many calories is in 8oz cranwater, in the breakfast smoothie (banana/strawberry) and in the lifelong cocktail?

    • admin says:

Hi Kate! The Fat Flush Plan isn’t a calorie counting program. However, if you’re interested in tracking your caloric intake, there are lots of free calorie counters online that work perfectly!

      Best of luck!

Question: when drinking the 8oz cranwater w/psyllium husks in the am or pm, how does one time any supplements that should be taken. should pm supplements be taken before or after and how much time between drinking the cranwater/psyllium and taking? Thank you in advance for your response.

    • admin says:

Hi Sascha! We recommend checking the label and following the specific directions for each supplement. (As they might vary.)

      • Vicki says:

Can you be more specific? I doubt any supplement specifically says that you can or can’t take with the Life long cocktail. Can supplements be taken with psyllium and cranberry juice??

        • admin says:

Hi Vicki! Staggering your psyllium with supplement dosage is a good idea, if no other instructions are available. However, it’s probably good to ask your supplement source about interactions with psyllium, specifically. (Or doctor if you’re taking medications.)

  6. Deanna says:

Can I add stevia to the cran water?

  7. Karen says:

How often can/should you do this flush? Is this something that can be done every day or should it only be done a certain amount of times and then stopped before starting up again?

    • admin says:

Hi Karen! The Fat Flush Plan is a 3-phase healthy lifestyle program. Phase 1 is two weeks for detoxing, Phase 2 is ongoing until you meet your desired goal, and Phase 3 is for lifetime maintenance. The Fat Flush Plan book has all the info you’ll need to be successful (info on how your body processes food, recipes, supplement info, etc): The cran-water is a staple of the program, featured in all phases.

  10. Tanya says:

Is 100% cranberry juice the same as unsweetened?

    • admin says:

Hi Tanya! You got it– 100% = unsweetened. :)

      • Susan says:

I’ve been looking at labels and one juice that said 100% Juice had 30 grams of Sugar (Carbohydrates)!

        • admin says:

Hi Susan! Gold star to you for reading those labels! Part 2 of label-reading (just as important, and perhaps more so than the Nutrition Facts chart) is reading the Ingredients List. That’s where you catch their sneaky tricks! :) It might contain 100% juice, but it could also contain additives like artificial sweeteners and other ingredients that ‘up’ the sugar ante. They sneak those in under the radar by declaring “100% juice” on the front of the label. Check out this article for more info and what to watch for on labels:

  14. Karen says:

I am excited to hear about this simple recipe of pure cranberry juice and water to flush fat and cellulite. Due to my severe GERD water is primarily the only thing I drink. Can cran water be my permanent replacement or is cran water only recommended for a specific time frame. Thank you.

    • admin says:

Hi Karen! As a general rule, we recommend drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water daily– the Cran-Water can count towards that and can be part of your daily regimen. Many of our Fat Flushers have been drinking Cran-Water daily for years! If you feel you may have a problem tolerating it, you can always work your way up to the standard 8 ounces of cranberry juice daily or drink a reduced amount in your water (dilute the juice a bit more).

  15. Axanthia Bursing says:

I just started today with the cran flush. I am wondering. Do i just need to drink the 64 oz of diluted a day a day and thats it? Does it matter if its before or after meals? Thanks!

    • admin says:

Hi Axanthia! Sip the Cran-Water throughout the day- with meals and/or between meals- as you would drink regular water throughout the day.

      • Axanthia Bursing says:

thanks. Also the drink is really tart for me. Would cranberry pills be just as effective?

        • admin says:

It may be tart to your taste-buds if you’re used to juices with added sugar. Don’t worry- just as they become accustomed to the sugar, they’ll adjust to live without it too! :) Maybe dilute with a bit more water at the beginning and work up to the full 8 ounces. We’ve found that capsules aren’t as effective because the liquid cranberry juice is absorbed immediately into the system. The capsules can even be hard to digest for some people.

  16. Darla says:

Where can I get the cranberry juice? I live in a small town and we have only a Wal Mart and a Dillons. Isa it like the Ocean Spray Juices on the juice aisle or something else?

    • admin says:

Hi Darla! Pure cranberry juice will be in the fruit juice aisle in a regular grocery store. Read the labels carefully!! Look for “unsweetened” cranberry juice. The brand we’ve found most commonly sold is Knudson’s, in a glass bottle with a white label. (Might be a good idea, while you’re on the computer, to Google it and take a look so you know what to look for when you’re at the store.) They do sell Knudson’s at Wal-Mart.

      • Diana says:

just an FYI….I was only able to find the pure Cranberry Juice at my grocery store in the area of organics and specialty section. All the cranberry juices in the juice aisle were cocktails (mixed with other fruits). Maybe this will help some others find it.

  17. Wendy says:

Hi Im interested in trying the Cranberry fat flush water. I have a fatty liver and borderline diabetes. Im having trouble finding 100% cranberry juice in the shops here in Australia.

  18. barbara gentile says:

would it be a healthier alternative to juice raw cranberries in a juicer and combine with filtered water?
    (i love using my juicer!)

    • admin says:

Hi Barbara! You could absolutely make your own cranberry juice. Most people find it more convenient to buy juice, but if you have a juicer that’s good too. (If you buy “100% no sugar added” juice, it’s the same as using juicer at home, after all.) If you don’t have a juicer and still would like to make your own cranberry juice, we have a recipe/instructions for that too >>

  19. Veronica says:

Is ocean spray 100% no sugar added cranberry juice ok?

    • admin says:

Hi Veronica! You got it! There are many brands of juice- the key is to make sure it’s “100%” cranberry juice with no sugar added!

  20. Wendy says:

Hi I have since found Lakewood Pure concentrate Cranberry in the health food shop which is great. I can drink about a litre a day which is 33oz I think. Is this ok or should I be trying to drink more.

  21. Nerea Alvarez says:

Has anyone had problem with teeth getting yellow?

    • admin says:

Hi Nerea! We haven’t heard of anyone having that problem. Could be a side effect of a different dietary occurrence?

  22. Minnie Wheeler says:

I really would like to try this. I am hypertensive diabetic and overweight. I have been struggling to get control.I hope this will work for me.

    • admin says:

Hi Minnie! Best of luck to you! (With pre-existing health conditions, we always recommend consulting your healthcare practitioner and keeping them well informed of dietary changes and the effects you are seeing.)

  23. Jose says:

I started the cran-water yesterday and ive been urinating a whole lot ….Is this normal, is this what is suppose to happen?!

    • admin says:

Hi Jose! That’s definitely normal! Increasing your intake means your waste will increase as well- your body takes what it needs then expels the leftover! (Normal body function) You’re flushing out the toxins and other build-up! Keep it up :)

  24. stephanie says:

I’m not interested in the multiple phases of the program, but was wondering if just the cran-water offers any benefits to me? Or am I defeating the purpose of the program by drinking the water combo alone?

    • admin says:

Hi Stephanie! The Fat Flush Water was formulated as a staple to the Fat Flush Plan, so we can’t be sure of the results you’ll see. However, the enzymes and their benefits still exist in the juice whether you’re accompanying it with our plan or not. It can still definitely help cleanse your liver & lymphatic system, which helps rid your body of extra bloat! We say go for it! :)

  25. Ahntara says:

MIRACULOUS results! Been 20-80lbs overweight most of my adult life. For past 12 years, struggled w/type II Diabetes – managed via insulin injections (when needed). Yesterday, I tried your fat flush water. My evening glucose level was perfect. I’ve tested 2x today to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. First two days in YEARS that I haven’t had to take a shot. Had to let you know. This goes so far beyond fat loss…I’m so grateful

    • admin says:

That’s FANTASTIC, Ahntara! We’re so happy to hear it has helped you in such a big way! We wish you the very best of luck!! :)

  26. Kyle says:

I have a fatty liver and i am trying this
how do i know if it is working? Will i use the bathroom more? How will I know if it is actually detoxifying me?

    • admin says:

Hi Kyle! Most people feel a difference in energy, improvement in overall health, and even weight loss. The results vary from person to person as our bodies are different, but pay attention to your body- how it feels, if things are changing, etc. Best of luck!

  27. Sherry says:

Hi, I’ve been drinking the cran water for a couple of weeks now but am wondering the effect of it’s daily use on my teeth. Wondering about the acids in my mouth eroding the enamel. Any idea on this? Thanks,

  28. vhel says:

hello, where can i buy cranberry juice?

    • admin says:

Hi Vhel! Check the juice aisle at your closest major grocery store. (Most carry at least one brand.) If you can’t find it, ask an employee before giving up– it’s easy to overlook and they can probably help you find it. :)

  29. Imogene says:

Can fresh cranberries be blended in water and had that way? Also how much would I need to put in to do it if that was an option? Thanks.

  30. Imogene says:

Dosent the nutritional value get compromised when cooking the cranberries?

So I could blend the water and raw fresh cranberries as well and drink it that way or would i have to strain it? Would it matter either way? I just bought a packet of fresh cranberries and am ready to go.

    • admin says:

Hey Imogene! Nah, the enzymes and nutritional offerings are still just as good. :) (Just don’t add anything extra! ie sugar, etc.) Our recipes call for straining the fruit out, but blending fruit and water is fine- the only thing that will change is the texture; it’s still unsweetened cranberry and water. You could drink it blended, in a yellow cup, standing on your head and it’ll still be unsweetened cranberry and water. 😉 You’re good to go!

  31. marilyn greaves says:

how do i make this do i get an 8 oz glass of water and put the cranberry juice into the water how much juice do i put in the glass

    • admin says:

Hi Marilyn! The recipe calls for 7 oz of water + 1 oz cranberry juice. Mix those together and you’ll have 8 oz of cran-water, ready to go!

  32. Juliet says:

If I just drank the ‘cran-water’ and exercised and didn’t do any of the other stages, do you reckon I’d see any results? Thanks

    • admin says:

Hi Juliet! We can’t be sure of the results you will see, as healthy diet has so much to do with weight loss. However, the enzymes in the cranwater can do wonderful things for your liver, improving function as a result. Many Fat Flushers credit cranwater with flushing out cellulite! Best of luck!

  33. Lisa says:

Hi there, I’m from Australia and ready to start the FF phase 1…
I have a question about the cranberry juice, I could only find Lakewood Pure Cranberry Juice, This has no water added just cold pressed cranberries.

Do I need to change the ratio to make Cran-Water?

    • admin says:

Hi Lisa! That’s perfect- exactly what the recipe calls for! 😉 You make the cran-water yourself by adding water to pure 100% unsweetened cranberry juice. You’re good to go! Best of luck in P1!

  34. Sara says:

Hi! Is the cran water safe for someone with diabetes?

    • admin says:

Hi Sara! It certainly is- although if you have pre-existing health conditions, we always recommend checking with your doctor when making dietary changes.

  35. Julie says:

May I use Diet Unsweetened 100% Cranberry Juice?

    • admin says:

Hi Julie! If it is indeed 100% pure unsweetened cranberry juice, there won’t be a need for “Diet” on the label. Seeing that is a red flag and indicates the manufacturer made some adjustments to the product- could be flavor (adding/eliminating sweetener) or calorie content…neither of which are necessary with straight, 100% unsweetened cranberry juice. Check the ingredients closely! There should only be 2-3: water & cranberry juice (sometimes cranberry juice concentrate)- and that’s it. That’s the one you want. :)

  36. Ashley says:

Hi, I started today but, I’m a little confused on the measurements to make the daily amount, can you help me out?

    • admin says:

Hi Ashley! The recommended daily amount is 64 ounces. 1 “helping” of Cran-Water is 8 ounces. If you’re mixing the full daily amount at once, you will be mixing 8 helpings of the 8 ounce mixture. That will give you 64 ounces- or half a gallon. (8 ounces cranberry juice + 56 ounces water = 64 ounces Cran-Water.) Sound good?

  37. Sandi says:

How much water for 32 oz of juice??

    • Admin says:

Hi Sandi! The ratio is 1 oz juice to 7 oz water; as long as you stick to that formula, it’ll be perfect! (3 oz juice + 21 oz water, 4 oz juice + 28 oz water, 5 oz juice + 35 oz water, etc)

  38. JP says:

How much water is needed to mix if i have 64 oz of pure cranberry juice in a container? Thanks.

    • Admin says:

Hi JP! The ratio is 1 oz juice to 7 oz water; as long as you stick to that formula, it’ll be perfect! (3 oz juice + 21 oz water, 4 oz juice + 28 oz water, 5 oz juice + 35 oz water, etc)

  39. Tish Van Wonterghem says:

To all those on the West Coast – I’ve been using Trader Joes 100% Cranberry juice for years and found it to be the best one for the Fat Flush program. I believe this was recommended in Ann’s book when it was first published. I love the tartness and its so good for your liver! So try and get it at any Trader Joes store!

  40. Cindy says:

Is it normal to get headaches from drinking this? I’ve been drinking this all day. Thanks.

    • Admin says:

Hi Cindy! We haven’t heard many people getting headaches, but your body is unique- it might have a different reaction. Try diluting the juice a bit more and see if that helps. (And we always recommend consulting your healthcare practitioner if you have any concerns.)

  41. Ryan says:

I drink a gallon or more of water a day. Do I have to turn ALL my water intake into cranwater for the detox to work? Or can I just drink the 64 oz of the cranwater and let the rest of my daily water be regular?

    • Admin says:

Hi Ryan! It’s perfectly safe to drink regular water in addition to the recommended 64 oz of Cran-Water.

  42. janice says:

Is ocean spray juice cocktail the same with the 100% unsweetened? thanks

    • Admin says:

Hi Janice! Fortunately, there are several different brands that offer unsweetened juice now! As long as it is “100% unsweetened”, you should be fine. Check out the ingredients list to make sure there aren’t any added sugars, additional juices, etc. If not- you’re good to go!

  43. Debbie says:

Can we drink the cran-water throughout the day or is it recommended before the meals? Also is combining the flat flush water and soup a good weight loss plan? Thanks!

    • Admin says:

Hi Debbie! Drinking cran-water throughout the day is best, in order to reach the recommended amount of half your body weight (pounds) in ounces of water daily. Combining FF Water and FF Soup definitely follows the Fat Flush Plan protocols. (Get all the details:

  44. Dave says:

Do you have the recipe to make the Cranberry Concentrate? i.e.: How much water per 12 oz. bag of cranberry’s an how long do you boil it?

    • Admin says:

Hi Dave! Here’s our recipe to make your own cranberry juice:

      • Dave says:

Thank you. is this a concentrate that you need to dilute wirh water? I remember in the book that there was a more diluted recipe. Just can’t find it.

        • Admin says:

Hi Dave! If you are starting with cranberry concentrate instead of cranberry juice, you would need to reconstitute the concentrate by adding water– which would then make it cranberry juice. Once you have the juice, you can add water to make Cran-Water by following this recipe. (It’s the official recipe for the Fat Flush Plan, included in the book.) Then you’re ready to sip!

*To clarify, the link provided in the previous reply is for Homemade Cranberry Juice.

  45. Jim says:

How does this affect kidneys ?

  46. Brinna says:

Hi! I’ve been seeing this a lot. Doed it help with the belly fat loss (along with good diet and exercise)? Thanks!

  47. Marcia Chaisson says:

First day of drinking the juice I lost 4 lbs. of water weight. Yes the taste is tart but you get used to it. I’m switching from a green tea with aspartame drink to this and glad I made the switch!
Also should mention drinking cranberry is good for dental health!

  48. Casandra says:

What about using diet cranberry juice?

    • Admin says:

Hi Casandra! We advise avoiding “diet” foods (drinks included) because they are usually packed with artificial ingredients, chemicals, sweeteners etc. Look for 100% unsweetened cranberry juice. If you aren’t sure if you’ve found the right juice, look at the ingredient list on the label. It should only contain a few things– cranberry juice and water.

  49. Michelle says:

Trader Joe’s has a very good 100% cranberry juice at a great price, $3.99.

  50. joanna says:

Does the cranberry juice help clean the lymphatic system too?

    • Admin says:

Hi Joanna – Yes it does! Cranberry acts as a natural diuretic and helps to flush your system of excess fluid. We also recommend rebounding daily on a mini trampoline to keep the lymphatic system draining properly.

  51. Rose says:

Does the cran water can water cause one to urinate a lot, because I have been drinking it for two weeks now and I am going very frequently and voiding large amounts. I drank water consistently before I started drinking the cran water and I just wondered if this increased output was a result of the cran water.

    • Admin says:

Hi Rose, The cran-water does act as a natural diuretic and helps to flush out fluid retained in your cells. Even if you normally drink large amounts of water reguarly, you will find that you’re heading to the bathroom more frequently with cran-water and hopefully you’ll start to see bloat and cellulite disappear!

  52. Dominique Lalrinzuala says:

I heard about you FFW, through a dear friend! Can you tell me is there a need for a specific water when mixing with the cranberry juice(ie… “Distilled”, spring, natural, or tap?

    • Admin says:

Hi Dominique – We would recommend using filtered water to ensure you aren’t getting any parasites, heavy metals and chlorine.

  53. Sylvia E says:

Can I mix the cranberry with no sodium sparkling water?

    • Admin says:

Not on a daily basis because anything that is bubbly is high in phosphoric acid which thwarts calcium absorption and is also detrimental to HCl production.

  54. Jane says:

    HI there,

If you add mint and/or lime slices to the fat flush cranwater, does that diminish it’s effect?

  55. Mary says:

I started drinking the cranberry water and got a wicked headache while drinking it the first day. Is this normal and will the headache lesson?

    • Admin says:

Hi Mary, the headaches are a normal part of the detox process for many people and they shouldn’t last longer than a few days. If they are becoming too intense you can try diluting the cran-water by half and see if that helps.

  56. Michelle says:

Does cra water take the place of drinking regular water? I used to be good about water but since my firm changed water filter systems I can’t even make tea at work it’s horrible.

    • Admin says:

      Hi Michelle,
The minimum amount of recommended water is about half of your body weight (in ounces) divided in half. So, the 64 ounces of cran-water needed per day would be enough water for someone who weighs about 130 lbs. For the rest of us, we need extra water to properly flush out toxins and refresh the body’s water content.

  57. Lisa Ann Gray says:

If 100% cranberry juice = unsweetened, then why is there 26 +/- of sugar mentioned in the ingredient list? And what is the difference if made from concentrate?

    • Admin says:

      Hi Lisa,
You may want to double check the ingredient list on your cranberry juice. Often it says 100% juice but the ingredients indicate they’ve used pear, apple or grape juice which will add extra sugar. What brand are you using? 26 grams seems a bit high, for example the one we have at the office has 7 grams of natural sugar for an 8 oz glass.

If you are making the cran-water with concentrate you would use approximately 4tbsp to 64oz water, and the sugar quantity should be about the same.
      Hope that answers your questions.

  58. Marie says:

Hi, I have a question. I did the cran-water on its own two years ago and it definitely helped my cellulite, but I started to get bloating in my stomach after food. I hated eating because of the way it left me feeling. I then read in the Fast Track Detox Diet to follow the 7 day prequel before doing the one day detox as you might end up more bloated, constipated, and toxic than you did before. It said that fasting without prior liver support and colon support releases into your bloodstream the toxins that were previously lodged in your fat cells. I believe this is what happened to me when I just took the cran-water and did not change my diet. I then received all I needed from UNI KEY for the Smoothie Shakedown plan. This was expensive for me as I live in Northern Ireland and because I had to pay Duty on it. I did the shakedown plan for 4 weeks and it worked. My belly was restored to normal and I lost 8lbs. Two years later and menopausal I have put on that weight again, and also gained an overwhelming amount of cellulite. So I now have 2 questions 1. Can I get rid of the cellulite without having to follow any of the complete plans? 2. And Have you any distributors in the UK that I could get your products from?

    • Admin says:

I suggest that you follow The Fat Flush Plan. Do you have the book, the app or the kindle? You can get rid of the cellulite and lose the weight you want to by following it. You will still be drinking cran-water and eating food for your meals. You can do it without the protein powder if you need to. I would suggest that you get the Fat Flush Kit because it really does make a difference in the weight loss results. It is very light to ship to the UK. Unfortunately we don’t have any distributors there.
